The Dragon Café Online

Monday 13th November

Mental Fight Club invite you to join us to come together as a community of creative minds and participate in a range of online arts activities.

Full Timetable:

12:45pm - 2:30pm: The Singing Group

On Monday we'll sing uplifting and heart-warming chants and rounds, and some of our own compositions. The group will open at 12:45pm for a warm chat before the singing begins. Everyone is warmly welcome!

3:00pm – 4:00pm: Poetry with Angie Smith

Professor Angie Smith will be delivering this poetry workshop dedicated to Tanka and we will examine the fundamental elements of this poetic form. After learning the form, the class will then apply these concepts to the drafting of their own written pieces with a sharing portion at the end for anyone interested in reading their work.

Angie Smith is the Founder of CreativityUnleashed, a not-for-profit charity that publishes the voices of young people, a Professor of English at Russell Sage College and an online creative writing teacher.

5:00pm - 6:00pm: Ariella & Renzo Danceworks

Danceworks invites all Dragons back to Zoom Dance in the company of friends near and far. Together we'll explore new and easy dances inspired by Diwali, Zumba and Afro-beat and feel great and fit for days afterwards!

6:00pm - 7:00pm: Ariella & Renzo Shareworks

Shareworks follows after the dance session and is a safe space where we can all relax, watch video-clips and listen to presentations by fellow dragons on various topics: from art to literature, dance and music. Welcome back to Dragon's Zoom Monday!

Shareworks will carry on directly after Danceworks on the same Zoom link.
