The Dragon Café Online

Monday 9th September

We are looking forward to welcoming you to The Dragon Café on Monday 9th September.

The Dragon Café will be online on Zoom.

Join us as we spend the day getting creative with our online workshop!

12:45pm – 2:30pm: Singing Group

In this session participants are invited to come together in celebration of the positive impact of singing and the voice. This session facilitated by our singing lead Vivien Ellis will be an energy filled journey through a mix of singing and vocal styles. From sea shanties to old English chants, choral favourites written by the singing group and some improvised rounds and soundscapes. There is something in this session for everyone.

This session opens at 12:45pm for a chance to catch up and chat before we begin singing.

3pm - 4:30pm: Poetry with Angie Smith

We are very happy to welcome back Professor Angie Smith who will be delivering this special extended 90-minute session dedicated to the art of poetic voice and form. We will explore unusual and accessible poetry forms, and then apply these concepts to the shaping of our own written work.

Angie Smith is the Founder of CreativityUnleashed, a not-for-profit charity that publishes the voices of young people, a Professor of English at Russell Sage College and an online creative writing teacher.

5pm - 6pm: Danceworks with Ariella & Renzo

Danceworks invites everyone back to dance online in the company of friends near and far. Together we'll explore new and easy dances inspired by rhythms, styles and beats from around the world, no dance experience necessary, just an invitation to move and feel great and fit for days afterwards! – following this session we invite you to stay on this zoom link for our next hour of Tai Chi.

6pm - 7pm: Tai Chi with Anthony Fidler

Recharge and de-stress with a rejuvenating online Tai Chi session! This ancient practice combines gentle movement, mindful breathing, and meditation to improve your circulation, boost energy, and bring inner peace. No experience necessary – perfect for beginners or those looking for a relaxing addition to their routine.
