Smell, Sight, Sound: use your senses in our summer sessions…

This energising laughter therapy session is designed to lift the mood and calm the mind. Laughter can help relieve stress, release endorphins (our happy hormone) and lower cortisol (stress hormone). With laughter leader, Patricia Byrne.

1pm (75mins): Smellology: history of smells in the City

Walk with Lester Hillman, City of London guide, to explore the history of smells in the City including Roman perfume bottles, street names, St Bartholomew Fair, 12th century horse races, Smithfield market, Fleet River of Wells, London’s first guide book and more.

In person at Shoe Lane Library.

2:30pm (60mins): Perfume Roll-ons

Learn how scent can affect our mood and wellbeing, with this simple way of dispelling nasty niffs in the City. Combine your own choice of essential oils to make a perfume roll-on to apply on your skin. With Nat, Hackney Herbal.

2:30pm (90mins): Relax & Create: Drop in

Stay on or drop in for this self-led sociable afternoon, with origami, collage & Lego. Materials provided.

5pm (60mins): Drawing From Life

Fancy a Cuppa?
