The Dragon Café Online

Monday 10th March

We are looking forward to welcoming you to The Dragon Café on Monday 10th March.

The Dragon Café will be online, on Zoom.

Join us as we spend the day getting creative with our special workshops!

12:45pm – 2:30pm: Singing Group

In this session participants are invited to come together in celebration of the positive impact of singing and the voice. This session facilitated by our singing lead Vivien Ellis will be an energy filled journey through a mix of singing and vocal styles. From sea shanties to old English chants, choral favourites written by the singing group and some improvised rounds and soundscapes. There is something in this session for everyone.

This session opens at 12:45pm for a chance to catch up and chat before we begin singing.

3pm – 4:30pm: Poetry with Angie Smith

We are very happy to welcome back Professor Angie Smith who will be delivering this special extended 90-minute session dedicated to the art of poetic voice and form. We will explore unusual and accessible poetry forms, and then apply these concepts to the shaping of our own written work.

All are welcome.

Angie Smith is the Founder of CreativityUnleashed, a not-for-profit charity that publishes the voices of young people, a Professor of English at Russell Sage College and an online creative writing teacher.
