1pm – 2:30pm: Southwark Playhouse at The Dragon Café
We are very pleased to welcome The Southwark Playhouse to the Dragon café for the for another of their popular theatre making workshops. If you are interested in any area of theatre from writing, improvisation, acting, voice work, theatre devising, and performance then these sessions are definitely for you.
2:30pm: Food served:
This week we will be continuing with the MFC menu. Expect lots of fresh and healthy options, including an assortment of salads, fruit, fresh breads, olives, finger foods, and much more.
3pm – 4pm: Singing Group
In this session, participants are invited to come together in celebration of the positive impact of singing and the voice. This session, facilitated by our singing lead Vivien Ellis, will be an energy filled journey through a mix of singing and vocal styles. From sea shanties to old English chants, choral favourites written by the singing group and some improvised rounds and soundscapes. There is something in this session for everyone.
4:20pm – 5:10pm: Yoga inspired Stretch with Anja Nikodem
Stretch way some of the stresses and tension we may feel at the start of another week. Put the week ahead out of mind as we stretch our backs, necks and shoulders with Anja Nikodem. This session is designed to stretch those tense muscles, boost energy and reenergise your day. Come in your usual clothes. No experience necessary.
5:30pm – 6:30pm: Gong Bath with Cathy Eastburn
Welcome in your week with a Gong Bath.
The vibrations and sound of a gong bath are an immediate and effective way to achieve deep relaxation and enhance well-being. They are particularly recommended for anyone struggling with insomnia, anxiety, depression, anger issues or chronic pain... but can be enjoyed by and helpful for everyone.
Lie back and enjoy the healing sounds of magnificent large gongs, played alongside Himalayan singing bowls, quartz crystal singing bowls and Javanese bronze percussion. Sessions are led by experienced gong-player and trained sound therapist Cathy Eastburn.
