12pm: Doors open: Come on and join us for light refreshments, hot and cold drinks and healthy snacks available.
12:30pm – 2pm: Wordsmiths Creative Writing
We are extremely happy to welcome back Lisa from Wordsmiths to the Dragon Café for another of her Creative Writing sessions. In this fun workshop, attendees are guided through structured writing activities and games to enable them to create and share a mixture of fictional and true stories based on their own experiences.
The group setting allows each person to firstly build confidence by sharing work that they have created from nothing, and secondly to build empathy towards other people in their community by hearing their stories in their words. The goal is to enable a creative way to communicate and to understand thoughts and ideas whilst having fun.
2pm: Food Served:
This week we will be continuing with the MFC summer menu. We will be filling the summer menu with lots of fresh and healthy options. An assortment of Salads, Fruit, Fresh Breads, Olives, Finger Foods, and much more.
2:30pm – 4pm: Hands of Expression: Collaborative Banner Workshop
In this session, participants are invited to create a banner using their hands, minds and words. Throughout the session, we will talk about what creativity means to each of us and transfer our discussions onto fabric!
