The Dragon Café will be in person at The Crypt at St Peters Church.
12pm: Doors open: Come on and join us for light refreshments, hot and cold drinks and healthy snacks available.
12:30pm – 2pm: Poetry with Emma McGordon.
We are extremely happy to welcome back Emma to the Dragon Café for another of her Poetry session. Emma’s sessions are a fun, engaging and accessible way of exploring writing your own poetry. Emma’s use of free writing and poetic form makes this an ideal workshop for everyone, from beginners with no experience of writing poetry to seasoned writers.
Emma a multi award winning writer and performer. Much of her writing and spoken word is semi-autobiographical. Emma takes pride in being close to vulnerability and truth in her work.
2pm: Food Served:
This week we will be continuing with the MFC summer menu. We will be filling the summer menu with lots of fresh and healthy options. An assortment of Salads, Fruit, Fresh Breads, Olives, Finger Foods, and much more.
2:30pm – 3:15pm: Laughter Yoga
Laughter yoga is amazing stress relief, getting you out of your head and into your body in an incredibly effective way. This workshop is designed to chase away your blues, boost your immune system and increase your resilience.
Sessions are fun & relaxed, combining movement, breathing and laughter exercises.
No downward dogs in this yoga, it's all about having a good laugh and releasing endorphins.
3:30pm – 4:40pm: Singing Group Shared film viewing and singalong.
The Dragon Café singers invite you to enjoy and participate in a live ‘premiere’ sing-along replay of the edited video of the Sing Ballads of Bloomsbury event at the Dragon Café. This is an opportunity for anyone who wasn’t able to make it to the Bloomsbury performance to get involved and sing along.
4:50pm – 5:50pm: Tai Chi with Anthony Fidler
Recharge and de-stress with a rejuvenating Tai Chi session! This ancient practice combines gentle movement, mindful breathing, and meditation to improve your circulation, boost energy, and bring inner peace. No experience necessary – perfect for beginners or those looking for a relaxing addition to their routine.
