Self Management UK will be supporting people with their mental wellbeing, with the opportunity to connect with others, advising how to overcome some of the challenges and barriers life may throw at you, how to communicate what you need, how to pace yourself and bring better balance in your life.

12:30pm - 2:00pm: Drawing Session with Shelly Wain
Join artist Shelly Wain in a mixture of quick playful drawings and longer observational studies. Suitable for all levels, no specialist materials required, just bring paper and a pencil. Add pens and coloured pencils/ watercolours if you would like. Relax and enjoy the mindful act of drawing
2:30pm – 3:30pm: Snip Winter Papercraft
Create fold out cards of your own designs inspired by winter to display in your home. Led by Tracey Bush who is an artist working with paper and handmade books.
Materials: Find some paper and thin card. (Pages from a book or cartridge paper is ideal. Instead of throwing away - have magazines, used envelopes, cereal box or other odds and ends of paper to cut up and upcycle. You will also need: scissors, glue stick. Optional: paper hole punches.
3:45pm – 5:15pm: Wordsmiths Creative Writing Workshop
In this workshop, attendees are guided through structured writing activities and games to enable them to create and share a mixture of fictional and true stories based on their own experiences. All exercises are designed to guide attendees to focus on memories associated with positive emotionsbut the prompts are always subjective enough that no-one will struggle to think of what to write about.
