The Dragon Café invites you join us for our Black History Month Special event as we welcome Recess Living who will be running two spacial workshops for us.
The Dragon Café will be in person at The Crypt at St Peters Church.
Booking is not essential but is advised for Recess Living's workshops.
Timetable
12:00pm: Doors Open - Come and relax, catch-up and chat. Hot and cold drinks will be available.
12:30pm (90 mins): Creative Journaling with Recess Living
Creating new ways to meet yourself on the page, this creative journaling workshop is perfect for both those new to journaling and seasoned journalers who are looking for alternative ways to expand their practice.
Exploring the theme of joy guests will be guided through a series of journaling and creative reflection techniques designed to help them reconnect with themselves and their creative intuition.
Attendees will leave the workshop lighter with fewer mental tabs open and beautiful works of art that also act as practical tools for daily intention setting and their own joy manifesto. Alongside prompts and tools to help them develop a joyful journaling practice at home.
2:30pm (60 mins): The Singing Group
The Dragon Café Singing group will be meeting for a live session on Monday, where we will be raising our voices together in song as we come together. Come along and join in, everyone is welcome.
3:45pm (90 mins): Coaster Marbling with Recess Living
Marbling is a traditional form of printmaking known not only for its mesmerising beauty but its meditative properties too. We’ll teach you how to paint on water and create stunning one-of-a-kind prints that we’ll transfer onto ceramic homeware pieces.
You’ll find it quietens their minds, providing a space for rest and relaxation whilst having an enjoyable unique experience.
5:30pm (60 mins): Danceworks
A mixed bag of modern and historical dance is welcoming Dragons this coming Monday. We look forward to celebrating friendship and connection once more in great company!
