On Wednesday 19th April MFC also brings you the Dragon Café in the City project in collaboration with Shoe Lane Library and the City of London. Join us for a fantastic mix of events online and in person!

12:15pm (30 mins) - Self Massage:

Destress with self massage that focuses on the neck & shoulders, Sports massage therapist Leonie Lawson will show you how to ease tension, aches & strains away. Wear your usual clothes. No experience necessary. Massage oil provided.

1pm (60mins) - Springtime Mini Books:

Join artist Tracey Bush to make origami ‘Mini Books’. Using simple folding and cutting techniques you can make a book from a single sheet of paper! The resulting book can be decorated with Springtime cutouts from upcycled books and papers.

 In person at Shoe Lane Library.

2pm (60mins) Paint and Relax: Drop In!


Feeling inspired after the mini books workshop? - stay on and continue with your own making, or drop in for this relaxed, self-led painting session using watercolours. Materials provided. No booking required.

6pm-(45mins)- Pilates NEW

First of a series of Pilates sessions via zoom with a new tutor, Giada from Balance Garden.

No experience necessary. Wear loose comfortable clothes.

7:30pm - (60mins)- Upcycled Fabrics: make a pincushion or Hexagon sampler

Join Helen Burridge for textiles inspiration based on reusing and repurposing loved fabrics and clothes. Hand sewing beginners can make a simple teacup pincushion or more experienced stitchers can explore their creative side to create a patchwork sampler.

Dragon Café in the City on 10 May includes a lunchtime printing workshop with Shelly Wain and Laughter Therapy.
