On Wednesday 25th January MFC also brings you the Dragon Café in the City project in collaboration with Shoe Lane Library and the City of London. Join us for a fantastic mix of events online and in person!

12:15pm (30 mins) - Self Massage:

Take time out of your day for some self-care with a focus on the face. Self-massage techniques with sports massage therapist Leonie Lawson. Massage oil provided.

1pm (60mins) - Get into the Green

Self-care can be the last thing on our new year to do list. Yet, research says self-compassion is our superpower to survive and thrive. How do we bring this into the workplace? Come and meet your Dragons and learn about your Green Dragon- our brain's soothing system - with Dr Tamara Russell. Learn how to develop healthy habits to support work and play. You can change your brain with small tweaks to what you are already doing.

With Dr Tamara Russell, clinical psychologist, martial artist, and neuroscientist.

15:00 (90mins) Read and Relax: Drop In!


Come along for a chat and a read at Shoe Lane Library with this relaxed group session. We’ll be reading some extracts, doing a puzzle or two, and enjoying a cup of tea – perfect for a peaceful afternoon!

Shake off the tension of the day with simple breathing exercises and a blend of standing and seated stretches designed to increase flexibility and sooth the mind. With Marina, Balance Garden.
