On Wednesday 13th July MFC also brings you the Dragon Café in the City project in collaboration with Shoe Lane Library and the City of London. Join us for a fantastic mix of events online and in person!
Join us at Shoe Lane Library for two live lunchtime workshops:
12:15pm – 1:05pm: Standing Stretch NEW
Session 1: 12.15pm – 12.35pm repeated at Session 2: 12.45pm – 1.05pm
Move away from your computer for 20 minutes to stand and stretch your back, neck and shoulders with Anja, Balance Garden. This short session is designed to stretch those tense muscles, boost energy and reenergise your day. Come in your usual clothes. No experience necessary.

1:00pm – 2:00pm: Drawing with Nature:
Join artist Shelly Wain for this walk and draw workshop inspired by nature in the city. Explore mark making techniques using natural objects including twigs, leaves and feathers. This workshop will start in the library and then go outdoors to sketch before returning to the library.
Art materials provided. Bring your own sketchbook if you prefer.

Join our friendly reading and conversation group as we look at extracts from published diaries, and chat about our own experiences with recording our lives on paper.

6pm- 6:45pm- Slow Stretch NEW
Shake off the tension at the end of the day with this new workshop led by Marina, Balance Garden. Start off with some easy breathing exercises, then move onto a relaxed blend of standing and seated stretches designed to increase flexibility and sooth the mind. No experience necessary.
