Inspire. Laugh. Mend.

Whichever sessions you join us for, we aim to uplift and inspire you with our eclectic mix of sessions on Wednesday 23rd February. Via zoom, so you can join us from wherever you are.

 

13:00 – 14:00/ Fauna Framed NEW

Drawing from observation and inspiration, join artist Vanessa Lawrence for a sketching session with virtual gallery tour. Looking at the depiction of animals in art, their role in portraiture, and how this rich source of inspiration can transform our own artwork.

Suggested materials: paper, pastels, crayons, pencils, pens.

Vanessa’s work is exhibited internationally. She was a FIDA Fashion Award Finalist 2021 and VIA Arts Prize finalist 2020.

 
 

15:00 – 16:30/ Read and Relax: Laugh Out Loud

In this fun packed conversation group, we’ll be talking about the art of comedic writing and reading some hilarious extracts. Come along for a laugh!

18:00 – 19:00/ Yoga for Mental Health

Gentle yoga focusing on easing tension from the body and relaxing the mind. The perfect way to winddown at the end of the day. With Marina from Balance Garden. Suitable for all levels of experience.

 

19:30 – 20:30/ Mend: How to hem & other useful skills

Join Helen Burridge to learn sewing skills and some top tips to bring your beloved clothes back to life. Hems up or down, pockets to repair or something else you want to mend and need advice on.

Materials: A garment you want to mend, scrap fabric, needle & thread, iron, tape measure or ruler, scissors.
